Recycle Gas Compressor Principles and Applications  ( Centrifugal Compressors )

   This course illustrates techniques of the high pressure, high discharge rats, re-cycle gas compressors. Components, Drivers, Operation, Performance and Maintenance of different types of the re-cycle compressors are explained. The basis surge control and vibration damping are also cleared.

  • Driver specifications ( direct drive and gear drive ).
  • Principles of start up and shut down of the recycle compressors.
  • Check up list of the compressor ; operating data, (bearings temperature, vibrations and damping system, lubrication, differential pressure across I/O filter, dry gas seal vent line pressure, differential pressure across buffer gas filter, differential pressure between buffer gas and reference gas ).
  • Typical application ranges of compressor Types.
  • m Centrifugal compressor operation.
  • Operation Principles of the re-cycle compressors.
  • Classifications of the centrifugal compressors.
  • Mechanical design of centrifugal compressor; (casings, diaphragms, impellers, Shafts, Radial Bearings, thrust bearings, balance piston, inter-stage seals, seal oil and lube oil systems,d seal, cooling system.
  • Performance of Centrifugal Compressor ; (Blades Shape and Compressor Performance, Curve Shape, Compressor Surge, Surge control), Anti-Surge Control, and Safety Devices ).
  • Compressor sizing .
